Fernhurst and Midhurst Table Tennis Club was formed, as a Badminton club, around 1976. Initially we had a table tennis table we could use when no badminton court was available. Over time more and more people were playing table tennis and less and less badminton. The conclusion was obvious: become a table tennis club and this we did in 1996 with Mike Arrowsmith (above) as our first Chairman.

These days we are a small, very friendly though growing club with two teams in the Haslemere league and several players also playing in the Guildford league.

Annual subs for seniors are currently £40 pa plus £3.00 per match or club night. £4.00 for guests. Club night is Friday 7.00 till around 9.30 and we also play all home matches on Wednesdays. We welcome visitors, members and guests

We are one of the very few clubs that tries to keep club night going right through the year. This Summer we also had two teams entered into the Fun Summer League.

In 2012 we started a successful junior club on Friday evenings. Age 10+. We now have around 10 juniors playing regularly on a Friday night and several of the older juniors have now joined the seniors club, with some even playing successfully in Div 1

 

At the moment we are one of the very few clubs in the area who welcome juniors and are prepared to work with them and help them develop as players and indeed as people. Please come along and say hello.
